vivo Y500 Pro debuts with 1.5K 6.67-inch display, Dimensity 7400, 200MP camera, 7,000 mAh battery and 90W charging. From 1,799 yuan; sales start Nov 14.
The vivo Y500 Pro has been unveiled with a starting price of 1,799 yuan. It features a 6.67-inch display that aims for flagship-grade credentials: 1.5K resolution, 460 ppi, and peak brightness up to 1,600 nits. Power comes from MediaTek’s new 4 nm Dimensity 7400 chip, which, according to the company, reaches up to 1 million points in AnTuTu.
Preorders are already live, and open sales begin on November 14. As IT Home reports, the phone arrives in these memory options: 8/128 GB for 1,799 yuan; 8/256 GB for 1,999 yuan; 12/256 GB for 2,299 yuan; and 12/512 GB for 2,599 yuan. The lineup is structured clearly, leaving straightforward steps between versions.
The body comes in four finishes: Auspicious Cloud Gold, Titanium Black, Light Green, and Soft Pink. The rear panel uses satin AG glass similar to the brand’s flagships. Dimensions are kept tidy at 7.81 mm thick, 198.6 g in weight, and 74.51 mm in width. The camera housing sticks to a classic look, which suits the restrained design.
The main camera is a 200 MP Samsung HP5 with a larger light-sensitive sensor area—vivo says light capture is up by 1.56 times versus the previous generation, with binned pixels reaching 2 μm. There’s in-house optical stabilization and a 30x super zoom, plus a 2 MP lens for bokeh. An infrared port is on board for remote control. The front camera offers 32 MP. On paper, the imaging setup sets an assertive tone for this price tier.
The display supports vivo’s new eye-care system with personalized brightness adjustment, an AI sleep mode, a gentle brightness curve to reduce fatigue, and a motion-sickness assistance feature that should help during travel.
For connectivity, the phone uses a symmetric omnidirectional antenna that is said to boost signal by up to 118%, alongside dual-frequency BeiDou and GPS. The manufacturer also claims the system is designed to keep the device running stably for 60 months, a long-horizon promise that will be interesting to watch.
The device carries IP68+IP69 ratings. Vivo states the phone maintains water resistance even after 2,000 light drops, and it has passed national reliability certification.
Power is supplied by a 7,000 mAh Blue Ocean battery with 90 W charging. There’s full-featured NFC with support for key emulation, access cards, and both transit and bank cards. The vivo Y500 Pro runs OriginOS 6 with the Blue River Smooth Engine and a suite of AI features, from intelligent search to the XiaoV homework assistant. The feature list lands closer to a higher class than the entry price might suggest.
