Sony’s first PlayStation monitor: 27-inch QHD IPS, up to 240 Hz (120 Hz on PS5), HDMI 2.1, USB-C with PlayStation Link, launching in 2026 in the US and Japan.
Sony has unexpectedly unveiled its first PlayStation-branded gaming monitor, extending the company’s growing hardware ecosystem for players. After rolling out the Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers in October, the brand is adding a new accessory tailored specifically for PS5 and PS5 Pro owners—a move that underlines its focus on a cohesive experience across devices.
The monitor features a 27-inch IPS LCD panel with QHD resolution (2560×1440) and refresh rates of up to 240 Hz, though that ceiling applies only when connected to a PC or Mac with VRR support. With PlayStation 5 consoles, the maximum is capped at 120 Hz, which lines up with what most current games are designed to deliver.
Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, two USB Type-A, and one USB Type-C with PlayStation Link, making it easy to pair ecosystem gear such as headsets, speakers, and Sony’s TWS earbuds. The monitor also brings built-in stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm jack, VESA mount compatibility, and a branded DualSense Charging Hook—a retractable dock for topping up the controller that will be sold separately.
Sony has not disclosed pricing yet. The PlayStation monitor is slated to go on sale in 2026, initially in the United States and Japan. As part of Sony’s expanding lineup of peripherals, it fits neatly into the broader push to build a unified gaming setup around PlayStation.
