All we know about the OnePlus 15R: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 power, 1.5K 165 Hz OLED, 8,000 mAh battery with 100 W, cameras and features, plus expected global launch.
During yesterday’s global premiere of the OnePlus 15, many assumed the company had scrapped the 15R. But at the very end of the broadcast, the brand officially confirmed the device and asked fans to stay tuned — a pretty clear hint that the OnePlus 15R is not far off.
Leaks suggest the OnePlus 15R will be the global version of one of the Chinese models — either the OnePlus Ace 6 or Ace 6T. The former is already on sale in China and runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the Ace 6T, which has yet to debut, is reportedly set to feature the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Insider chatter points to that chip as the foundation for the 15R.
Expected specs for the Ace 6T / OnePlus 15R include a 1.5K OLED display with a 165 Hz refresh rate, an 8,000 mAh battery with 100 W charging, a 32 MP selfie camera, and a dual rear setup of 50 + 8 MP. Other highlights include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, a metal frame, a haptic motor, stereo speakers, and NFC. The phone is slated to ship with Android 16 and ColorOS 16.
For context, the Ace 6 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite offers a larger 6.83-inch OLED display, a 7,800 mAh battery, and 120 W fast charging, but otherwise closely mirrors the Ace 6T’s configuration.
All told, the OnePlus 15R is shaping up to be a potent sub-flagship with a next-generation chip and a clear focus on battery life — and that closing teaser suggests its announcement is just around the corner.
