At IFA 2025, Acer unveiled the new Swift Air 16—one of the lightest laptops in its class, tipping the scales at under 1 kg. The model is powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 processors, including the flagship Ryzen AI 7 350, enabling on-device AI tasks without cloud access and boosting overall system responsiveness—a clear push toward local intelligence.

The chassis uses a magnesium–aluminum alloy and comes in four colors. The laptop can be configured with a 16-inch WQXGA+ AMOLED display at 120 Hz, with DCI-P3 coverage and brightness up to 400 nits. A more affordable version opts for a WUXGA IPS screen at 60 Hz—a practical split between premium and mainstream panels.

The Swift Air 16 is certified as a Copilot+ PC and runs Windows 11 with support for new AI features such as Recall and Click to Do. A built-in Full HD camera with an IR sensor and a privacy shutter supports Windows Hello, while two microphones and stereo speakers focus on video conferencing—thoughtful touches for everyday use.

Ports and battery life

Connectivity includes Wi‑Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a set of ports with two USB Type‑C, USB Type‑A, and HDMI 1.4. The battery promises up to 17 hours of runtime, which should comfortably cover a full workday and then some.
