Insider claims the Asus ROG Phone 10 is in development with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, revamped cooling, AI features, ray tracing, and a high-refresh display.
Despite Asus keeping quiet and the absence of leaks, the ROG Phone gaming line isn’t being shelved. Chinese insider Smart Pikachu says the Asus ROG Phone 10 is already on the way, effectively putting to rest talk of a shutdown.
For context, by this time last year the ROG Phone 9 had a release date, unboxings, and official teasers. The prolonged silence fueled doubts, but it’s now clear the series will continue. According to the same source, the next generation is set to receive a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a refreshed cooling system, AI-driven features, and a design that stays close to the previous model.
The insider also notes the lineup will stand out with a high refresh-rate display, ray tracing support, and performance edging toward desktop-class levels. Some titles are rumored to be tuned for those elevated refresh rates. The last generation—ROG Phone 9, 9 FE, and the top-end ROG Phone 9 Pro—hit 185 Hz, so it would be reasonable to expect the ROG Phone 10 to match or improve on that figure.
Asus still hasn’t announced a launch date. More details are likely as the release draws near, but until official statements arrive, all specifics should be treated with caution.
