Realme GT 8 Pro goes global with a Ricoh GR-tuned camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 6.79-inch QHD+ 144 Hz display, 7000 mAh Si/C battery and 120W charging.

Realme has officially released the flagship GT 8 Pro to global markets, nearly a month after its debut in China. It arrives as one of the brand’s most technologically ambitious phones, combining the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a camera system tuned with Ricoh GR, and a higher-capacity silicon–carbon battery.

The GT 8 Pro features a 6.79-inch LTPO AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution (3136×1440) and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Typical brightness reaches 2000 nits, while local peaks can climb to a striking 7000 nits. A 32 MP front camera sits on the front, and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader is embedded beneath the panel. On paper, the display numbers are hard to ignore.

The headline feature of the global model is Realme’s first camera tuned by Ricoh GR. The system includes a 50 MP main camera (1/1.56-inch, f/1.8) with Ricoh GR 28 mm and 40 mm equivalent focal lengths, plus Ricoh GR photo styles: positive, negative, high-contrast black and white, standard, and monochrome. It’s paired with a 200 MP periscope telephoto (1/1.56-inch ISOCELL HP5, f/2.6) offering 3x optical and 12x hybrid lossless zoom, along with OIS, and a 50 MP ultrawide (16 mm, f/2.0) with a 116° field of view. Video recording tops out at 8K at 30 fps. The partnership reads as a clear push into enthusiast-minded imaging.

Under the hood, the flagship runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and ships with Realme UI 7 based on Android 16. The phone supports enhanced AI-driven photo and video processing, alongside new system features. The spec sheet suggests a strong focus on performance and computational imaging this cycle.

The device is powered by a 7000 mAh Si/C battery. There’s 120 W wired charging, designed to replenish the phone in minutes. The GT 8 Pro also brings expanded protection with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings—a rarity in its segment. The global lineup comes in Diary White, Urban Blue, and a limited Dream Edition in green.

Pricing and availability will vary by region. Realme plans a gradual rollout across European and international markets, with sales starting in the coming weeks through official stores and partners.
