Discover Huawei's X3 Pro art router: Wi-Fi 7+, 2.5Gbps ports, PLC 3.0 mesh, Game Turbo, WPA3. Specs, coverage up to 120 m2, and pricing for router and bundle.

Huawei has unveiled the new X3 Pro, which it is pitching as its first “art router.” The device comes in a transparent shell that houses a decorative mini-sculpture with lighting that shifts over the course of the day, creating a sunrise effect. The package also includes a compact auxiliary router with softer lighting that can be controlled via the Huawei Smart Life app. It’s a look that turns a utilitarian box into part of the room’s aesthetic.

Beyond the showpiece design, the X3 Pro is built for modern home networks. The main unit carries 512 MB of RAM and 128 MB of ROM, supporting speeds up to 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and up to 2882 Mbps on 5 GHz, for a combined theoretical throughput of 3570 Mbps. It features two 2.5 Gbps ports with automatic WAN/LAN switching and one Gigabit port. The add-on module includes a standard Gigabit interface.

Huawei says a single router covers about 90 m², and adding the extender raises coverage to 120 m². Inside the main block sit six antennas, including a transparent one with micron-level engraving. Paired with the company’s proprietary algorithm, the system optimizes how bandwidth is distributed across connected devices, which should help keep speeds consistent when the network gets busy.

Performance is driven by a Huawei Lingxiao chip, four signal amplifiers, and a suite of Wi‑Fi 7+ features that enable smooth switching between frequency bands. The model also supports PLC 3.0: the main unit can work with up to 15 additional nodes over existing electrical wiring—especially useful in multi-story homes where Wi‑Fi tends to struggle across floors.

There’s dual-band roaming, a dedicated channel for IoT devices, a guest network, parental controls, WPA3, HomeSec protection, and a second‑generation cooling system with a “shark‑fin” fan. For gaming, a Game Turbo mode is available.

Pricing is set at 1,299 yuan for the main router, 799 yuan for the auxiliary module, and 1,999 yuan for the bundle. The X3 Pro leans on the pairing of performance and expressive design—arguably Huawei’s boldest swing yet in the home networking arena.
