Insta360 X5 unveiled at IFA 2025: 8K video, AI low-light, 208-min runtime

At IFA 2025, Insta360 introduced its latest action camera, the X5, pushing on-the-go filming to a fundamentally new level. The camera is equipped with two 1/2.6-inch sensors, supports 8K recording at 30 fps, and captures 5.7K at 60 fps in Active HDR mode.

The headline innovation is a triple AI chip that optimizes low-light capture, making the X5 one of the best options for night scenes. The camera also supports the brand’s invisible selfie stick effect and adds interchangeable lenses for more flexible use — a thoughtful nod to real-world versatility.

With up to 208 minutes of runtime and fast charging, the X5 suits expeditions and extended shoots. In Europe, it will cost 589.99 euros for the standard bundle, which includes a protective case, a USB-C cable, and accessories — a package that feels dialed in for long days on the move.
