Redmi 15C 5G launches Dec 3: budget phone with 6000 mAh battery, 33W charging, Dimensity 6300, 120 Hz display, HyperOS 2 and IP64, aiming for two-day life.

Xiaomi is preparing to launch the new Redmi 15C 5G with a clear mission: to become the most long-lasting phone in the budget bracket. The announcement is set for December 3, and the focus isn’t raw performance but maximum battery life. The strategy revolves around a 6,000 mAh battery—well above the class-standard 5,000 mAh. Paired with 33W fast charging, the phone is pitched for two days of confident use without constantly hunting for an outlet.

The hardware is built around the energy-efficient MediaTek Dimensity 6300, suited to everyday tasks, social apps, and 5G connectivity, with performance that is more than adequate for its category. The display is big at 6.9 inches with a 120 Hz refresh rate, but the resolution tops out at HD+—a trade-off that invites debate. Even so, the emphasis on refresh rate should make the interface feel smoother than on many rivals.

Preliminary details suggest the base model will target the most affordable price segment, which adds appeal alongside IP64 protection, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and the latest HyperOS 2. The Redmi 15C 5G isn’t out to topple flagships; it aims to be the most practical and long-lasting option in its class, offering reliability, substantial endurance, and a comfortable day-to-day experience.
