Discover Huawei Smart Hanhan, the AI pet that talks naturally, senses mood, and logs memories. HarmonyOS-ready, 1,800 mAh battery, preorders sold out fast.
Huawei has unveiled its first AI pet, Smart Hanhan — a device that doesn’t just follow commands but remembers everything, speaks in natural language, and reacts to its owner’s emotions. Debuting alongside the Mate 80 series, it raced through preorders almost at once: all three versions were snapped up as soon as they appeared in Huawei Mall.
Shaped like a small plush toy measuring 80 × 68 × 82 mm and weighing just 140 grams, Smart Hanhan blends soft textiles, silicone, and embedded electronics to create the feel of a warm, lifelike companion. It’s pitched not merely as a cute gadget but as an emotional sidekick designed to listen, support, and respond to a person’s mood.
At its core is Huawei’s Xiaoyi AI module, enabling natural, emotionally aware conversations. Hanhan recognizes vocal intonation, understands context, and adapts to the user’s mood. It responds to voice, touch, and movement: a gentle stroke changes its facial expression, a light tap triggers a new emotion, and a soft shake makes it tremble with joy.
Power comes from a 1,800 mAh battery rated for 6–8 hours of continuous conversation or more than two days of typical use, with a full charge taking about six hours. The pet pairs with smartphones running HarmonyOS 5.0 and later. Through the companion app, it keeps an emotional diary, saving key moments of conversation as memories and building a unique record of interactions.
