Google Flights adds Flight Deals, an AI-powered feature that lets users find flights with natural language requests. Discover easier, smarter travel search today.
Google has introduced a new feature in its Google Flights service called Flight Deals, designed to make searching for airline tickets far more intuitive. Instead of manually selecting dates, departure cities, and destinations, travelers can now describe their plans in natural language, and the system, powered by AI, will generate tailored options.
The company illustrated how this works with practical examples. A user might type something like «I want to spend a week this winter in a city known for great food, with direct flights only» or «I’m planning a 10-day ski trip at a world-class resort.» In response, Flight Deals would suggest suitable destinations and highlight the best available fares.
According to Google, the innovation lies in a two-step process: first, the AI model interprets the traveler’s intent by analyzing the query, and then it matches those preferences with real-time data from Google Flights, which aggregates offers from hundreds of airlines and agencies. The company emphasized that this approach reflects the future of travel booking platforms, simplifying the process even for people who travel infrequently or are unfamiliar with traditional search filters.
