Explore Apple AirPods Pro 3: new audio chip, 2x better noise cancellation, hearing aid mode, live translation, heart-rate tracking and up to 8 hours battery.
Apple unveiled the new AirPods Pro during today’s presentation. The design remains familiar, with only subtle tweaks likely to catch the eye of the most devoted Apple fans.
The update brings improved drivers, a new chip dedicated to audio and noise cancellation, and a feature that effectively turns the earbuds into a genuine hearing aid.
According to the company, AirPods Pro 3 now block external noise twice as well and deliver noticeably better music playback. Built-in Apple Intelligence also lets users translate foreign speech on the fly, in both directions; during a live translation, the smartphone serves as the audio source.
The most significant shift, though, is the addition of built-in sensors for training. The earbuds can now track heart rate and calories burned, monitor workouts and determine their type. That’s the kind of change people are likely to feel outside the spec sheet.
On a single charge, AirPods Pro 3 will run for up to eight hours.
