WhatsApp is testing channel quizzes in Android beta 2.26.1.14, with correct-answer checks, confetti, analytics and image choices, and a rollout coming soon.

WhatsApp has started testing a new tool for channels — quizzes — now available in the Android beta version 2.26.1.14. The feature expands what channel admins can do and offers a more interactive format than standard polls.

The Quiz tool lives in the same attachments menu as polls and questions, but it works differently. The admin sets the correct answer in advance, and followers pick the option they believe is right. If they choose correctly, a confetti animation appears on screen — a small touch that nudges people from passive viewing to active participation.

For admins, the real draw is the analytics. After publishing, they can see the percentage of correct responses and, if participants are in their contacts, who selected each option. That level of insight is particularly useful for creators, brands, and educational projects that need to gauge how closely the audience is following along — the sort of feedback loop many channels have been missing.

WhatsApp also lets admins attach images to each answer choice, opening the door to visual prompts and themed mini-games. For now, the feature is limited to Android beta testers, though there are signs it’s being tried on iOS as well. A wider release is expected later, typically within a few weeks — a rollout pace that hints the feature fits naturally into how channels are evolving.
