Fresh leak reveals Samsung Galaxy A37 and A57 camera specs: 50MP IMX906, ultrawide, macro, and 12MP selfies. A37 gets the real upgrade; A57 holds steady.
Fresh details about the cameras in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 have surfaced online. The leaked information offers an early look at how Samsung might rework its popular budget-friendly lineup.
According to the leak, the Galaxy A57 is unlikely to be a photography breakthrough. It is said to feature a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor sized 1/1.56 inch, paired with a 13MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro camera. In some markets, the main sensor may be swapped for an ISOCELL GNJ with similar characteristics. A 12MP front camera is expected to handle selfies and video calls. Overall, the setup largely echoes the Galaxy A56, which won’t satisfy those who were counting on a clear upgrade.
The Galaxy A37 looks far more interesting. The leak points to the same 50MP Sony IMX906 for the main camera, but the key difference is a significantly larger size compared with the Galaxy A36’s unit. That should help with night photography, improve detail, and reduce blur when shooting moving subjects. The system is complemented by an 8MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro lens, while the front-facing camera is said to use a 12MP sensor.
Judging by these specs, the most meaningful camera shift in this pair appears to land with the A37, while the A57 seems content to hold steady.
