Xiaomi rolls out HyperOS OS2.0.6.0.UKBCNXM for Mi 11 in China. Android 14 maintenance update fixes targeted bugs, improves stability, adds no new features.
Xiaomi has unexpectedly pushed a HyperOS update to the Mi 11, even though the phone was officially dropped from the support program more than a year ago. These post–end-of-life releases are rare and usually signal the need to stamp out serious issues. The new build, OS2.0.6.0.UKBCNXM, is based on Android 14 and is already rolling out in China. Owners there can look for it in the system update section of the phone’s settings.
The changelog makes it clear the update focuses strictly on fixing bugs that appeared in specific scenarios and on improving overall system stability. It brings no new features or visual changes—an unsurprising choice for software that arrives after a device’s official life cycle has ended.
At the same time, the Mi 11 still isn’t receiving regular security patches or new HyperOS capabilities, including modern interface features, AI tools, or broader ecosystem integration. For those still using the handset as a daily driver, the subtext is hard to miss: this is a maintenance patch, not a renaissance, and moving to a newer model with longer software support may be the wiser path.
