Discover the iQOO 15 Ultra: a gaming smartphone with a giant active cooling fan, physical triggers, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and 6.85-inch 144 Hz QHD display.
iQOO is preparing to launch a new flagship, the iQOO 15 Ultra, with a clear focus on extreme performance and mobile gaming. According to insider Digital Chat Station, the device could be unveiled by February 17 and is expected to be the most powerful model in the iQOO 15 series.
The standout feature is an active cooling system with a built-in fan. This isn’t just about having a fan at all—the leak claims it would be the largest active cooler ever installed in a smartphone. The goal is to keep performance steady and let the device run at peak clocks without throttling, which is crucial for long gaming sessions.
The phone is aimed directly at gamers. In addition to active cooling, it is said to include physical triggers that suit shooters and action titles. iQOO is reportedly confident enough in its thermal approach to tout performance approaching future chip generations such as the Dimensity 9600 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, thanks to sustained operation without overheating. It’s a bold target that underscores the strategy: stable speed over short spikes.
The display is set to match flagship standards. Expectations point to a 6.85-inch Samsung panel with a 1440×3168 resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness up to 6,000 nits. Rumors suggest the same screen could also appear in the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
At its core, the iQOO 15 Ultra is slated to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, cementing its status as a top-tier Android flagship. Combined with aggressive cooling, it could become one of the most capable gaming smartphones on the market.
