Discover HP's Eliteboard G1a, a keyboard with a full Windows PC inside: AMD Ryzen power, USB-C display support—ideal for hot-desking and flexible offices.
HP has unveiled an unusual device for the workplace: the Eliteboard G1a keyboard with a full Windows PC tucked inside. At first glance, it looks like a standard QWERTY board with a numeric keypad, yet beneath the keys sits a complete computing setup: an AMD Ryzen processor, storage, memory, plus built-in microphones and speakers.
Plug the keyboard into a compatible monitor via USB-C and you have a complete desktop. To keep things flexible, there are two USB-C ports—the second can be used for accessories or to deliver power if the display lacks USB-C. HP is also preparing a version with its own battery for untethered use. The idea neatly blurs the line between peripheral and PC.
This approach lets people carry their workstation by simply taking the keyboard and connecting to any compatible monitor. It makes the Eliteboard G1a a compact, practical option for offices with hot-desking and for professionals who want portable computing power without a traditional laptop.
HP plans to release the Eliteboard G1a motherboard in March 2026. Pricing has not been disclosed, but the device’s unusual concept is already drawing interest among corporate clients looking for unconventional Windows setups.
