Unveiled at CES 2026, Schenker’s ELEMENT 16 is a semi-modular laptop on Intel Core Ultra Series 3, with swappable parts, up to 64 GB RAM, Wi‑Fi 7, 16:10 screen.
Schenker, in collaboration with Intel, has unveiled the world’s first semi-modular laptop built on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. The debut took place at CES 2026 as a reference device codenamed M16P, while in Europe the model will launch as the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 in spring 2026.
The standout feature of the ELEMENT 16 is its semi-modular design, developed with Pegatron and geared toward repairability, long-term durability, and sustainability. A quick-release mechanism on the bottom cover opens easy access to the internals. Users can replace or service external port modules, the battery, fans, storage drives, the keyboard and other parts, and even swap keyboard layouts. The approach comes across as a pragmatic middle ground between fully modular concepts and conventional notebooks, prioritizing longevity without complicating maintenance.
Memory flexibility is another focal point. The laptop includes 16 GB of built-in DDR5-6400 BGA memory and supports an additional SO-DIMM module, expanding system memory up to 64 GB. Up to 32 GB operates in dual-channel mode, and the BGA memory can be disabled if needed. Schenker is also considering the possibility of upgrading the motherboard from Panther Lake processors to future Intel platforms, with detailed technical documentation planned to support repairs and upgrades.
At its core, the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 uses Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, including the Core Ultra 7 356H with 16 cores and boost speeds up to 4.7 GHz. Integrated Intel Graphics is aimed at office tasks and entry-level gaming. The notebook supports Thunderbolt 4, TPM 2.0, Wi‑Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6, and features a 16-inch 16:10 display with resolutions up to 2560×1600 and full sRGB coverage. It also undergoes testing to the MIL‑STD‑810H standard. Pricing and final configurations will be announced closer to launch.
