Honor launches Magic 8 Pro and Magic 8 Lite: Snapdragon 8 Elite, 50+200 MP cameras, 1.5K OLED, huge batteries, fast charging, MagicOS, UK prices £400–£1,100.
Honor has officially introduced two new smartphones — the flagship Magic 8 Pro and the more affordable Magic 8 Lite. The pair target different audiences: the former leans on performance and an advanced camera system, the latter emphasizes battery life, durability and an attractive price.
The Honor Magic 8 Pro features a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution, an adaptive refresh rate up to 120 Hz and peak brightness up to 6,000 nits. At its core is the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Power comes from a 6,270 mAh battery with support for 100 W wired and 80 W wireless charging.
The focus is squarely on photo and video. On the back sits a triple camera: a 50 MP main sensor with optical stabilization, a 200 MP telephoto with 3.7x optical zoom, and a 50 MP ultra-wide that also handles macro. Up front, a 50 MP camera is complemented by a 3D depth sensor for face recognition. The phone runs Android 16 with MagicOS 10 and supports 4K recording at 120 fps. The setup clearly targets mobile shooters who want flexibility without adding extra gear.
The Honor Magic 8 Lite is the more mainstream option, yet it brings surprisingly strong hardware. It carries a 6.79-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, minimal bezels and high peak brightness. Inside are a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The camera pair combines a 108 MP main sensor with a 5 MP ultra-wide, while selfies are handled by a 16 MP front camera.
The headline feature of the Magic 8 Lite is a 7,500 mAh battery with 66 W fast charging, joined by reinforced protection rated IP66, IP68 and IP69K. Honor highlights its toughness, stating it is protected against drops from up to 2.5 meters. The phone runs Android 15 with MagicOS 9 and is aimed at users who value reliability and endurance — a practical choice when longevity matters most.
In the United Kingdom, the Honor Magic 8 Pro goes on sale at £1,100, while the Magic 8 Lite is priced at £400.
