Meet Insta360's Link 2 Pro and Link 2C Pro, AI webcams with 1/1.3-inch sensors, 4K30, HDR, beamforming audio, gesture control, and InSight tools from $200.
Insta360, best known for its action cameras, has introduced a new generation of AI-enabled webcams — Link 2 Pro and Link 2C Pro. Aimed at content creators, educators, and remote professionals, the company says it set out to bring image and audio quality closer to what you’d expect from dedicated cameras and microphones — a logical expansion for a brand rooted in imaging.
Both models use a large 1/1.3-inch sensor with dual native ISO, which should noticeably help in low light compared to the previous generation. The cameras support HDR, while the True Focus phase-detection autofocus keeps subjects sharp even as they move. Video tops out at 4K at 30 fps, and the Natural Bokeh mode simulates the shallow depth of field associated with DSLR-style shooting.
Audio is a core focus as well. The webcams offer directional recording with beamforming and AI noise reduction, designed to keep voices clear even in busy environments. Users can choose how sound is captured depending on the scenario — from highlighting a single speaker to accommodating multiple voices — and having switchable pickup modes proves a thoughtful touch.
The main difference between the two models comes down to hardware design. Link 2 Pro includes a two-axis stabilizer and AI tracking that automatically keeps an individual or a group in the frame, while Link 2C Pro is built for stationary use without a moving mechanism. Both cameras support gesture controls to start tracking or adjust zoom hands-free, and a magnetic mount simplifies setup. The split neatly covers two common workflows: presenters who move around and desk-bound calls.
For teaching and presentations, there are dedicated modes: automatic whiteboard recognition, an overhead desk view, portrait mode, virtual backgrounds, and chroma key support. The cameras also work with Insta360 InSight, an AI meeting assistant that can record sessions and generate transcripts and concise summaries — a toolkit clearly tailored to lessons, demos, and webinars.
Link 2 Pro is priced at $250, while Link 2C Pro costs $200. Both models are already on sale.
