vivo introduces the Vision Explorer Edition MR headset with dual 8K Micro-OLED displays, 180° FOV, spatial audio, and seamless integration with vivo’s ecosystem.
vivo has unveiled its new Vision Explorer Edition mixed reality headset, a device that stands out with its lightweight 398-gram frame and refined, geometric design. The headset features magnetic interchangeable prescription lenses, making it adaptable for different users without sacrificing its sleek aesthetic.
At the heart of the device are two Micro-OLED panels, each delivering a resolution of 3840×3552 pixels. Combined, they provide an impressive 8K viewing experience with 94% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and a color accuracy of ΔE<2. The result is sharp, vivid visuals that aim to reproduce content with striking fidelity.
The headset offers a 180-degree field of view and supports spatial audio, creating a sense of immersion that extends beyond visuals. Movies, sports broadcasts, and panoramic videos can be experienced as if projected on a virtual screen up to 36 meters wide. Thanks to a collaboration with Migu Video, users also gain access to multi-angle sports coverage with real-time stats and extra details displayed on side panels.
Integration with vivo’s broader ecosystem plays a central role. Panoramic photos and spatial videos captured on vivo smartphones can be seamlessly played back within the headset, establishing a closed loop from creation to viewing. The device even supports playback of panoramic long shots, opening the door to new ways of experiencing visual content.
With the Vision Explorer Edition, vivo positions its headset as an all-around tool for entertainment, sports, and creative expression, highlighting the balance between detailed imagery, ergonomic design, and versatile functionality.
