Discover the Galaxy S26 Ultra Privacy Display: a new feature that protects your screen from side views, works automatically, and maintains image quality.

New details have emerged online about the Privacy Display feature, which is set to be a key highlight of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. According to a leak from an insider, the technology has already been tested in real-world conditions and performs significantly better than traditional screen protectors and software solutions. For the smartphone owner, the image remains clear, with brightness and color reproduction unaffected even at maximum screen brightness—a rarity for such technologies.

Meanwhile, for people viewing from the side, the display appears almost completely black. Information becomes unreadable even at slight angles, making it practically impossible to peek at messages or notifications. Interestingly, the feature can activate automatically when specific apps are launched. For example, the screen immediately switches to protected mode when opening messaging apps or banking services, requiring no action from the user.

There is also discussion about automatic activation scenarios, such as outside the home or during certain times of the day, making the feature highly practical for everyday use. At the core of Privacy Display is a Samsung Display OLED panel with Magic Flex Pixel technology, previously showcased at MWC 2024. It's worth noting that subtle yet useful features like this are increasingly becoming decisive factors when choosing a flagship phone.

Currently, the new feature is expected to be exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, though it may later appear in other models in the lineup.
