Samsung sets Oct 21, 2025 for Project Moohan XR headset after extra quality checks; triple-fold Galaxy due late Oct/Nov, about 2M won ($1,350), 100k units.

Samsung has fine-tuned its rollout plans for two much-anticipated devices: the Project Moohan mixed-reality headset and a triple-fold Galaxy smartphone. According to ET News, the first headset will be unveiled on October 21, 2025—nearly a month later than the original date—after an internal rethink of marketing and additional quality checks.

The price is expected to land around 2 million won (about $1,350), placing the device between Apple’s premium Vision Pro and the more accessible Quest 3. The initial shipment is estimated at 100,000 units, with volumes to be adjusted based on demand.

The triple-fold smartphone will arrive later—toward late October or in November. It’s set to be the next step for flexible displays, a category where Samsung already holds a lead.

Early next year, the company is planning another launch: its first XR glasses, developed with Google. Step by step, Samsung is assembling an ecosystem for spatial technologies.

A brief delay could well work in Samsung’s favor. In XR, users rarely forgive compromises, and the company seems intent on delivering a device that can stand up to Apple and Meta from day one.
