Nothing Ear (3) brings transparent TWS design, Super Mic for clearer calls, 12 mm drivers and adaptive ANC. Recycled aluminum IP54 case. Preorder Sept 18, $179.
Nothing has unveiled its new TWS earbuds, Ear (3), marking the brand’s most significant refresh in years. The signature transparent look stays, now accented with metal for a more upscale feel that suits the product’s ambitions. The charging case is made from recycled aluminum and carries an IP54 rating, which means protection against dust and water splashes.
The case integrates two additional microphones that, together with three directional mics in each earbud and a bone-conduction module, capture the voice and filter out noise up to 95 dB. According to the company, call quality on Ear (3) noticeably surpasses the previous generation, and wind noise suppression improves by 25 dB.
The new 12 mm drivers are 20% larger, boosting bass by up to 6 dB and treble by up to 4 dB. Real-time adaptive noise cancellation adjusts to the environment, aiming for a more natural, less fatiguing sound.
Nothing Ear (3) doesn’t stop at design and audio tweaks—it leans into smarter touches. A button on the case can instantly switch on TALK mode or save a voice memo straight to the Essential Space app. For the TWS market, this feels like a meaningful step forward: the company keeps experimenting without losing its unmistakable identity.
Preorders for Nothing Ear (3) open on September 18, with the first buyers getting theirs on September 26. The earbuds are priced at $179.
