Motorola launches the Razr Fold AI, its first large-screen foldable smartphone with an 8.1-inch display, triple 50MP cameras, and AI features. Learn more about specs and availability.
Motorola has officially confirmed the upcoming launch of the Razr Fold AI, marking the brand's first foray into large-screen foldable smartphones. This represents a significant shift for the company, as its Razr lineup has been synonymous with compact clamshell designs until now. The new device targets users who need a large display for work, media consumption, and multitasking.
When unfolded, the Razr Fold AI features an 8.1-inch inner display. A 6.6-inch external screen allows for comfortable use as a standard smartphone without needing to open it frequently. Motorola has also focused on design, offering the device in two signature Pantone colors: a dark Blackened Blue and a light Lily White.
The camera setup is notably robust for a foldable. The Razr Fold AI boasts three 50-megapixel modules: a main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. It supports Dolby Vision video recording. For selfies and video calls, it includes a 32-megapixel camera on the external screen and a 20-megapixel module on the inner display.
A key emphasis has been placed on artificial intelligence. The Catch Me Up feature automatically summarizes notifications, while Next Move analyzes on-screen activity to suggest follow-up actions, such as adding an event to a calendar. Support for the Moto Pen Ultra stylus enables handwritten notes and drawing directly on the large screen.
Motorola has not yet revealed the price or exact launch date for the Razr Fold AI. All details are expected to be announced at a dedicated presentation soon, where the company will fully outline its ambitions in the large foldable smartphone segment.
