Discover Sony's LinkBuds Clip wireless earbuds with a clip-on design for all-day wear, offering 9-hour battery life, Voice Boost, and Sound Leakage Reduction. Available in four colors.
Sony has unveiled its new LinkBuds Clip wireless earbuds, featuring a unique design focused on comfort for extended wear. The product is now available globally, marking the first update to the LinkBuds line since late 2024. Instead of launching the anticipated flagship WF-1000XM6 model, Sony has chosen to develop this open-ear format further.
The standout feature of the LinkBuds Clip is its clip-on design, which attaches to the outer ear without entering the ear canal. Sony claims this distributes weight across the external part of the ear, allowing for all-day wear without fatigue. Since there are no ear tips, ambient sounds remain audible at all times, eliminating the need for a transparency mode—though passive noise cancellation is also absent.
To address the limitations of an open-ear design, Sony has included software features: Voice Boost for improved speech clarity and Sound Leakage Reduction to minimize audio spill. Battery life is another strong point, offering up to 9 hours on a single charge and up to 37 hours with the charging case.
The LinkBuds Clip come in four colors: black, gray-beige, green, and lavender. Pricing is set at $229.99 in the U.S., €199 in Europe, and £179.99 in the UK. Positioned to compete with other open-ear models like the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds and Huawei FreeClip, this release highlights Sony's commitment to the category.
