DJI launches ROMO robot vacuums in Korea, featuring 25,000 Pa suction, lidar navigation, and autonomous docking for up to 200 days. Pre-order now available.

DJI has officially entered the robot vacuum market with the launch of its ROMO series in South Korea. The new lineup emphasizes maximum cleaning area, high suction power, and minimal user involvement in maintenance. The flagship ROMO P model stands out with transparent robot and docking station casings, allowing a view of the internal components.

For navigation, ROMO uses a combination of two wide-angle cameras and a lidar with a wide field of view. Its machine vision system can recognize obstacles as thin as 2 mm, such as wires and small objects, and operates reliably under furniture and in low-light conditions. The robot dynamically adjusts its route, thoroughly cleaning areas around furniture legs, along walls, and in corners without getting stuck or missing spots.

Maximum suction power reaches 25,000 Pa with an airflow of 20 liters per second. When detecting fine debris, the robot automatically reduces its speed and the rotation of its side brushes to avoid scattering dirt. Two motors effectively handle pet hair, dust, and larger debris, reducing the risk of hair tangles.

The ROMO docking station is designed for long-term autonomous operation without user intervention—up to 200 days. It cleans mop pads with high-pressure water jets, reduces noise levels during dust collection, and maintains system cleanliness. A built-in water tank and automatic water flow adjustment help tackle tough stains, while the ROMO P version also supports the use of deodorizing agents.

Control is managed through the DJI Home app, which offers preset and customizable modes for different room types. The ROMO series is already available for pre-order in Korea, with prices starting from 1,590,000 won.
