A new leak confirms the Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup will feature increased base storage to 256GB and new color choices, set to launch in February 2026.

A new leak sheds light on key changes coming to the Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup and confirms an upgrade that will especially please fans of the base model. As the presentation draws nearer, the flow of unofficial information is intensifying, and the latest details look very promising for buyers.

According to information from a Finnish retailer, the entire Galaxy S26 series will receive increased storage capacity in the standard configuration. Samsung appears to be finally abandoning the 128GB version: the base Galaxy S26 will ship with 256GB of internal storage, matching the Galaxy S26+. For those who need more, the option to upgrade to a 512GB variant will remain available.

The leak also reveals the expected color palette. The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ will be available in black, white, sky blue, and a shade called Cobalt Violet. Similar colors are listed for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, though earlier rumors had mentioned other options, including Silver Shadow and even orange. The final selection of colors will likely depend on the specific market.

Samsung has not officially confirmed the lineup details yet, but sources agree that the unveiling will take place on February 25, 2026, at a Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco. If the information proves accurate, the Galaxy S26 will become a rare example of a flagship receiving a meaningful 'default' upgrade without a price increase for the base version.
