Some Google Pixel users report serious Wi-Fi and Bluetooth malfunctions after the January patch. Learn about affected models and potential fixes.
The latest update for Google Pixel smartphones has started causing serious wireless connectivity issues for some users. Following the January patch release, Pixel owners are increasingly reporting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth malfunctions that appear immediately after installing the update.
Complaints are actively appearing on Google's official forums and Reddit. Users note that Wi-Fi on their smartphones may stop working completely, while Bluetooth in some cases refuses to turn on at all. Some reports also mention camera issues, though these occur less frequently.
The problem doesn't affect all devices, but the number of reports indicates a fairly widespread issue. Affected models reportedly include the Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and other current smartphones in the lineup. According to user feedback, standard troubleshooting methods—including rebooting, resetting network settings, and starting in safe mode—don't resolve the problem.
So far, Google hasn't officially acknowledged a systemic error and is limited to recommending users contact support. Some users claim that even a full factory reset doesn't solve the issue, though in rare cases reinstalling the current firmware version helped restore connectivity module functionality. Notably, similar glitches were recorded in the previous Pixel update, but this time they appear more widespread.
