Samsung unveils a 25W Qi2 magnetic wireless charger for the Galaxy S26 series, offering faster charging and compatibility with earlier devices. Learn about its features and benefits.

Samsung is preparing a significant update to its wireless charging technology, with the first details already emerging online. Journalists have gotten an exclusive look at the company's new accessory—a 25W Qi2 magnetic wireless charger that will likely debut alongside the Galaxy S26 series.

The new product is called the Magnetic Wireless Charger and carries the model number EP-P2900BBEGWW. With its Qi2 25W label, it appears to be Samsung's most powerful wireless charging accessory to date. The 25W maximum speed is expected to be supported only by the Galaxy S26 Ultra, while other models in the lineup may face limitations.

The charger features a magnetic "puck" design reminiscent of Apple and other Qi2 solutions. It has a USB-C port on one end, and leaks suggest the cable comes with a nylon braid. Samsung recommends using a 45W USB Power Delivery adapter to unlock the device's full potential. Preliminary data indicates the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ will charge at up to 20W, with higher-end models getting the maximum. This represents a notable step forward compared to current wireless charging limits in the Galaxy ecosystem.

Interestingly, the new Qi2 accessory will also be compatible with earlier Samsung devices that have Qi2 Ready certification, such as the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. However, for these devices, charging power will remain at 15W, as confirmed by information on the product packaging.

Samsung is clearly betting on developing its Qi2 magnetic ecosystem. With the launch of the Galaxy S26, wireless charging in Android flagships may finally approach the speed and convenience of wired solutions.
