Xiaomi is testing HyperOS 3.1 beta on devices like Redmi K80 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Learn about the update's expansion and Android 16 transition.
Xiaomi continues to aggressively develop its new HyperOS system. While HyperOS 3 updates are still rolling out to devices worldwide, the company has already begun testing the next step: HyperOS 3.1. The beta program launched just a week ago, but the list of supported models is expanding rapidly, signaling the brand's serious plans for accelerated deployment of the new version.
Now, the Android 16-based HyperOS 3.1 beta has become available for two notable devices: the Redmi K80 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra. These join the second wave of testing, which also includes Xiaomi 15 series models, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra tablet, and other devices set to receive early firmware access soon.
Currently, participation in the program is limited to China. However, Xiaomi is already testing global builds in parallel on several devices. This suggests an international release of HyperOS 3.1 may follow later, though official confirmation is still pending.
In China, the update has already reached the Redmi K90, Redmi K90 Pro Max, Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, as well as the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro tablets. All these devices are running on the HyperOS 3.1 test build with version code 3.0.300, which denotes the internal platform of the new release.
Xiaomi promises to expand the beta program in the coming days and weeks, adding more smartphones and tablets. If the current pace holds, HyperOS 3.1 could become one of the company's most extensive updates in the near future, especially as the system transitions to Android 16.
