Indian startup Brave, which has no connection to the browser of the same name, has unveiled its first device: the large Android tablet Ark. Clearly aimed at work and study, it doesn't forget about entertainment either. The new tablet stands out with its nearly 13-inch screen and a battery whose capacity is more reminiscent of a power bank than a mobile device.
The Brave Ark features a 12.95-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2880x1840 pixels and a 144 Hz refresh rate. It runs Android 15 with a proprietary Desktop Mode that transforms the interface into something resembling a desktop OS. Windows can be freely resized, and support for a second display via USB-C makes the Ark a rare example of an Android tablet with full-fledged multitasking.
Performance is handled by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. While not the newest chip, it remains sufficiently powerful for everyday tasks, work, and even gaming. A configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is available for purchase, and storage can be expanded using a microSD card if needed.
One of the main features is the 14,550 mAh battery—one of the largest in its class. Yet, the tablet's body is only 7.6 mm thick. It supports 33W charging via USB Power Delivery, which seems a reasonable compromise for a battery of this size.
The tablet is geared toward productivity: a proprietary keyboard with magnetic attachment and the Ark Pen stylus are offered for it. The pen recognizes 4,096 levels of pressure, tilt, and features low latency. The stylus itself attaches to the body via magnets and works for up to 12 hours without recharging. Sound is handled by eight speakers with DTS Audio support, a rarity even among flagship tablets.
In India, the Brave Ark has already gone on sale at a price of around 35,000 rupees for the 12/256 GB version. The stylus, case, and charger are included in the package, and the first buyers additionally receive the keyboard for free.
