Discover the Ayaneo Next 2, a high-performance Windows handheld with OLED display, Ryzen AI Max chips, and advanced cooling. Learn pricing and features ahead of its Indiegogo launch.
Ahead of its Indiegogo launch, Ayaneo has revealed all the details for its flagship portable PC, the Next 2. The company has confirmed the configurations, pricing, and key features of a device positioned as one of the most powerful Windows handhelds on the market.
The Ayaneo Next 2 will come in two versions. The base model gets a Ryzen AI Max 385 processor, while the premium version features a Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip. Memory and storage capacities vary depending on the chip, but the rest of the hardware is identical across all variants. The device sports a 9.06-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400×1504 pixels and a 165 Hz refresh rate, front-facing speakers, a classic 8-directional D-pad, and round touchpads on either side.
Ayaneo places particular emphasis on controls and cooling. The Next 2 features TMR joysticks with adjustable tension—a rarity for Windows devices in this form factor—triggers with lock modes, four rear buttons, and an advanced cooling system with dual fans. Powering it all is a substantial 116 Wh battery.
The crowdfunding campaign kicks off on Indiegogo next week. Early buyers will benefit from discounted pricing: the Ryzen AI Max 385 version with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD will cost $1,799, while the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 configuration with 64 GB of RAM comes in at $2,299. The top-tier model, with 128 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD, is priced at $3,499. Once the campaign ends, prices are set to rise significantly.
All versions of the Ayaneo Next 2 will be available exclusively in Polar Black—the company appears to have abandoned the white option shown in earlier renders. Given its specs and price point, the Next 2 clearly targets enthusiasts willing to pay a premium for maximum performance in a portable form factor.
