Leaked animations suggest the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will debut with a 200MP main camera and 100x zoom, finally giving foldables true flagship photography.

Leaked details about Samsung’s first tri-folding smartphone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, point to a major leap in mobile photography. Animations shared by leakers @TechHighest and @evowizz outline how the camera will operate and indicate the device could support 100x zoom.

That would be a meaningful shift. For seven generations, the Galaxy Z Fold family has been held back by its cameras: every model stuck with a 3x telephoto, which looked modest next to some of Samsung’s more affordable phones. Users have repeatedly asked for a flagship-grade ultra-zoom module like the one in the Galaxy S Ultra series, but it never made its way to the foldables.

If the information holds up, the Galaxy Z TriFold could change that from day one, delivering a truly high-end photo experience. The main camera is expected to come in at 200 MP, as with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy S Ultra, and the addition of 100x zoom would raise the bar for foldable devices.

Such a move would also hand Samsung an advantage in its rivalry with Apple, which is expected to unveil a foldable iPhone next year. The suggestion is that Cupertino will hold back on top-tier features for its foldable flagship, much as it did with the thin iPhone 17 Air.
