Nothing announces Phone 4a and 4a Pro launch on March 5, 2026, with Snapdragon 7s, up to 12GB RAM, and Glyph lighting. Competing with Apple's iPhone 17e.

British brand Nothing has made a bold move to grab attention amid Apple's March presentation. Co-founder and CEO Carl Pei posted on X an image of Apple's March 4th invitation, overlaid with "digital graffiti" spelling out "Nothing" and the date March 5th. This transparently hints that Nothing will unveil its Phone 4a series the day after its competitor's event.

Nothing had already stoked curiosity with mysterious teasers featuring unusual imagery, sparking lively online discussion. Now it's clear the official announcement is set for March 5, 2026. The company hasn't revealed details, but leaks suggest two models will debut: the Nothing Phone 4a and 4a Pro.

Preliminary reports indicate the devices will feature Snapdragon 7s processors, up to 12GB of RAM, and storage up to 256GB. An updated camera and a new implementation of the signature Glyph lighting are also mentioned. The Pro version may offer IP65 water resistance and eSIM support. However, insiders note not to expect a major leap over the Phone 3a series.

Interestingly, Nothing has chosen this aggressive marketing strategy against the backdrop of Apple's presentation, where the iPhone 17e is expected to debut at around $599. The Nothing Phone 4a is estimated at roughly $475, with the 4a Pro around $540. Despite differences in audience and positioning, Nothing is clearly riding the wave of attention surrounding Apple.
