Watch how a Red Magic 11 Pro runs Cyberpunk 2077 at 30-50 FPS using GameSir GameHub and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Learn about mobile emulation advancements and future potential.
Modern Android smartphones have become powerful enough to emulate demanding PC games like Cyberpunk 2077. YouTuber and portable device expert ETA Prime showcased the PC version running on a Red Magic 11 Pro, achieving a stable frame rate of 30–50 FPS with optimized settings.
The emulation was handled through the GameSir GameHub platform, leveraging the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and the Red Magic 11 Pro's built-in cooling system. At 720p resolution with FSR 2.1 enabled, the Balanced preset delivered 30–40 FPS, while additional frame generation boosted it to 50 FPS. Even under maximum load, the device temperature reached 100°C, and the 16GB LPDDR5T RAM usage exceeded 80%.
This demonstration highlights the significant leap in mobile processor performance and the potential of Android smartphones for emulating AAA PC titles. Valve's contributions through its Proton technology have also made emulation more viable, enabling PC games to run on mobile devices with high compatibility. Looking ahead, within a few years, smartphones could comfortably run Cyberpunk 2077 at high settings with 60 FPS, opening new horizons for mobile gaming.
