Discover the Audio-Technica ATH-SQ1TW2NC wireless headphones featuring active noise cancellation, 6-hour battery, and vibrant colors. Lightweight design for comfort.
Audio-Technica has launched new fully wireless headphones called the ATH-SQ1TW2NC, focusing on compact size, vibrant design, and active noise cancellation. The model features an unusual square form factor and an ultra-lightweight build—each earbud weighs just around 4 grams, making them comfortable for extended wear without fatigue.
The new product is available in six colors right away, including black, coffee brown, green, gray, pink, and white-beige. Sound is handled by 5.8mm dynamic drivers supporting a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with connectivity via Bluetooth 5.2. Despite their compact dimensions, the headphones come equipped with an active noise cancellation system, along with transparency and conversation modes that let you hear ambient sounds without removing the device.
Battery life lasts up to 6 hours of playback on a single charge, and the included charging case adds up to 18 more hours of operation. A full recharge takes about 2.5 hours. Additional features include touch controls, IPX5-rated protection against moisture and dust, and a proprietary app with relaxing nature sounds and a fine 64-step volume adjustment.
For now, the ATH-SQ1TW2NC has debuted in Japan at a price of around 12,980 yen, equivalent to roughly 85 dollars. Shipments start on February 27, 2026, with details on a global launch yet to be announced. The compact size, ANC, and expressive color palette make this model a notable player in the affordable TWS headphone segment.
