Discover the Nothing Phone (4a) with its new Glyph Bar lighting system, AMOLED display, Snapdragon processor, and camera details ahead of the March 5 launch.
Nothing continues to build anticipation for its Phone (4a) series ahead of the official March 5th launch, revealing key features of the upcoming devices. The spotlight is on the updated light module on the back panel—a system called Glyph Bar that reimagines the brand's signature lighting.
Glyph Bar represents an evolution of the previous Glyph interface. The system now consists of nine mini-LEDs, each of which can be controlled individually. According to the company, this new implementation is about 40% brighter compared to earlier models in the (a) series, while the light appears softer and more uniform, without noticeable glare. The lighting is divided into six zones and is designed to visually display notifications and statuses without needing to turn on the screen.
Unlike the more experimental solutions of past generations, including the Glyph Matrix, Nothing is focusing on precision and functionality with the Phone (4a). Based on teasers, the light panel may be positioned closer to the edge of the body near the vertical camera block, though the final design will only be revealed at the launch event.
Preliminary information suggests the standard Nothing Phone (4a) will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, a 50MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP front-facing module. The Pro version could add a periscope telephoto lens and a 144Hz display. Expectations include a battery capacity of around 5,200 mAh with support for 50W charging, UFS 3.1 storage, and several color options for the body, including black, blue, pink, and white.
