Samsung releases stable One UI 8 (Android 16) for Galaxy S23, S23+ and Ultra. New DeX, Secure Folder, Quick Share and refreshed apps. Rolling out in Korea.
Samsung has rolled out the stable One UI 8.0 build for the Galaxy S23 lineup. The update is live in South Korea for now, with a wider release set to follow over the next few days.
Firmware S91xNKSU6EYI7 targets the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. If you were on the beta, the download is about 450 MB; for everyone else, it can reach roughly 3 GB. To check availability, go to Settings — Software update — Download and install.
Built on Android 16, One UI 8 brings a slate of refinements: a more secure Secure Folder; an updated DeX aligned with Android 16’s desktop interface; a reworked Samsung Internet; and an improved Quick Share. Samsung has also refreshed Clock, Calendar, and Reminders, added new options to Modes and Routines, introduced camera gestures for quicker access, enhanced Bluetooth Auracast support, and redesigned the Weather app.
Taken together, the changes point to a practical update that tightens essentials and boosts everyday usability, while the DeX and sharing tweaks hint at productivity gains. Galaxy S23 owners may want to keep an eye on the updater over the coming days.
