SAIC Volkswagen brings IQ.Pilot driver-assistance to 2026 Passat Pro, Tiguan L Pro and Teramont Pro, developed with Zhiyu, plus pricing and lifetime warranty.
At SAIC Volkswagen’s technology showcase, the company announced it will roll out the IQ.Pilot system, developed together with Zhiyu (formerly DJI Automotive). The advanced driver-assistance system is slated for the 2026 gasoline Passat Pro, Tiguan L Pro, and Teramont Pro. Offered as a 5,000-yuan option, it will come at no extra cost on top trims and include a lifetime warranty. The move points to a clear push to bring sophisticated assistance features into the brand’s mainstream combustion models.
Pricing is set at 169,900 yuan for the Passat Pro, rising to 223,900 yuan for the top version. The Tiguan L Pro starts at 192,900 yuan, while the Teramont Pro begins at 259,900 yuan, with the flagship configuration priced at 319,900 yuan.
IQ.Pilot combines dual-navigation technology with Zhiyu’s end-to-end highly adaptive control. It supports nationwide driving without preloaded maps and can handle tasks such as entering and exiting interchanges, changing lanes, passing through tunnels, and navigating highways with significant curves.
Positioning IQ.Pilot as a paid add-on, yet bundling it with premium trims, looks like a pragmatic strategy: keep the entry price attractive while encouraging buyers to opt for the most feature-rich versions.
