Owners report Samsung Galaxy Ring battery drain dropping days to hours, with some citing swelling. Samsung offers replacements/refunds amid support woes.

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy Ring smart ring are increasingly reporting serious battery issues. Where the device once ran for up to a week on a single charge, many now say the power melts away within hours. Posts on Samsung forums and Reddit describe different patterns: some users watch the level drop by about one percent every couple of minutes, while others say their endurance plunged from five days to just four hours.

Samsung has acknowledged the problem and advised affected owners to go through diagnostics and service. In some cases, the company is offering a replacement unit or a refund. Still, satisfaction is uneven: several customers describe drawn-out back-and-forth and hurdles with support, which only adds to the frustration. The response is there, but it doesn’t feel seamless.

The picture is further complicated by reports of physical risk: a blogger said his Galaxy Ring had to be removed in a hospital because the battery had swollen. While such incidents are rare, the uptick in complaints about rapid drain raises fair questions about the wearable’s reliability. As more cases surface, hesitation grows around buying the Galaxy Ring—a product originally presented as a convenient, long-lasting accessory whose promise now looks less certain.
