New leaks suggest the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 may have two variants with 4G/LTE and 5G connectivity, targeting different markets for flexible pricing and features.

New details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 have surfaced online, revealing an unexpected twist. Fresh leaks suggest the company might offer two flagship smartwatch variants with different connectivity options for the first time.

An IMEI database previously spotted a device with model number SM-L716, believed to be a 5G-enabled version. Now, firmware for model SM-L715F has been found on Samsung's servers, which, according to the company's typical naming scheme, indicates a 4G/LTE variant. This points to the lineup potentially including two distinct models.

Insiders speculate the 5G version will only launch in select markets, such as South Korea and the U.S., while the 4G/LTE model will be available in other regions. This approach could allow Samsung to tailor the device more flexibly to different markets and price segments.

It's also been revealed the new watch will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, promising significant performance and energy efficiency improvements. However, other specifications remain unknown for now.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is expected to debut in July alongside the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 foldable smartphones. All key features should be confirmed at that time.
