Xiaomi reveals the Redmi K90 Max gaming smartphone featuring a cooling fan, MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, and 165Hz display. Expected release in April 2026.

The Redmi K90 Max has been revealed in new renders, showcasing a gaming smartphone with a cooling fan that might prove challenging to handle. Xiaomi displayed the device's rear panel in a "Cosmic Silver" color, highlighting the aluminum chassis and substantial camera module.

An active cooling fan is positioned to the right of the cameras, potentially causing discomfort during use as it can partially obstruct ventilation grilles when held. Official photos indicate that a slight adjustment in hand placement resolves this issue.

The images also reveal the smartphone's slim profile. The camera bump is nearly flush with the module seen on the Redmi K90 Pro Max. While the front panel remains unseen, Xiaomi hints at ultra-thin bezels.

Technical specifications are still under wraps, but the smartphone is expected to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor and a discrete D2 graphics chip for enhanced gaming performance. The display will support a 165Hz refresh rate. The Redmi K90 Max is slated for a late April 2026 release, potentially launching alongside the gaming tablet Redmi K Pad 2 as part of a major announcement.
