Google releases an update for Pixel smartphones, fixing backup function, app crashes, gaming problems, and other bugs from the March update.
Google has released an update for Pixel smartphones, addressing several issues that emerged after the March update. Users had widely reported system malfunctions, and the company has now partially fixed the most critical bugs.
One major problem involved the disappearance of the backup function in system settings. Following the March update, some Pixel owners couldn't locate this option, causing significant inconvenience. The new firmware version resolves this error, restoring access to backup features.
Additionally, crashes in third-party apps, including banking services, have been corrected. Previously, users reported widespread sudden app crashes, but Google acknowledged the issue was on its end and included the relevant fix in the update.
Gaming issues also received attention. After the previous update, some games began to lag and crash, worsening Pixel's already imperfect gaming reputation. The April update claims to fix some of these crashes, which should improve stability.
Furthermore, errors with the search bar on the home screen and glitches in the Quick Share function for file transfers, including to Apple devices, have been eliminated. However, a number of problems remain unresolved, such as reduced battery life, screen freezes, and instances of boot loops, raising questions about the quality of Google's recent updates.
