Samsung One UI 9 update introduces AI-powered photo editor, redesigned About phone section, and smoother animations. Learn about new features and expected release date.

Samsung is gearing up for a major update to One UI 9, with early leaks indicating the company is taking user feedback seriously by overhauling the interface. This update aims to make the system simpler, faster, and more convenient for everyday use.

A key change will be a revamped photo editor. One UI 9 will introduce AI-powered smart suggestions that offer quick photo editing options right above the input line. Users can apply recommended effects with a single tap, eliminating the need to manually search for tools.

The "About phone" section is also getting a redesign. Instead of a large device image, the interface will become more compact: the icon will move to a corner, with key details like model name and serial number displayed alongside it. Additional information, including IMEI and phone number, will be organized below in a more structured layout.

Even basic system elements will see updates. For example, the search bar in settings will feature a new animation, smoothly expanding and collapsing in a way reminiscent of stock Android. This should make navigating settings more intuitive and user-friendly.

More details are expected with the launch of the One UI 9 beta, and the full release could arrive as soon as July. This update promises to be one of Samsung's most significant steps in user interface development in recent years.
