Samsung is actively refining One UI 9, with the latest test builds revealing several new features and changes. While early versions of the firmware were relatively modest and based on Android 16, the system has now moved to Android 17 and offers noticeably richer functionality.

A key new feature is Tap to Share. This allows users to transfer files by simply tapping two devices together. On the Galaxy S26 series smartphones, NFC support is implemented on both the rear panel and the top edge, making data exchange even more convenient.

The system also introduces Bixby widgets for the home screen. These enable quick voice or text interaction with the assistant, with expanded versions adding a full input field directly on the desktop.

In the settings, a new Warranty and Care section has appeared, consolidating information about device warranty, repair, and diagnostics. Users will be able to access support and run checks, including via voice commands through Bixby.

Additionally, One UI 9 has gained new accessibility features, such as screen element narration and improved text display. The interface continues to evolve—for instance, brightness and volume controls have become larger and more user-friendly. System development is ongoing, and the final version may include even more changes.
