Users report a green vertical line on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra screen, similar to past Samsung models. Learn about the issue and repair options.

Samsung appears to be facing a familiar display issue once again. Users are reporting a green vertical line on the Galaxy S26 Ultra screen—a defect that has previously affected several of the company's smartphone generations.

Similar cases have been documented with the Galaxy S21 Ultra, S21 FE, S22 Ultra, S23 series, and even the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The problem typically manifests the same way: a thin or sometimes more prominent green vertical stripe appears on the screen without any visible physical damage to the device.

For the Galaxy S26 Ultra, several users have posted photos and videos on X showing a bright green line. This has sparked debate, with some commenters suggesting the materials are fake. However, upon closer inspection, the footage appears quite credible. Given that similar defects have occurred in past Samsung models, a recurrence cannot be entirely ruled out.

So far, reports are limited—just isolated posts on X and Reddit, not indicating a widespread issue. Therefore, it's too early to call this a major problem or pinpoint its exact cause.

If more cases emerge, Samsung will likely need to respond. In the past, the company has acknowledged such defects and, in some situations, offered display replacements when there were no signs of physical damage.

For users experiencing this issue, the usual recommendation is to contact an authorized Samsung service center for diagnosis. Depending on the assessment, the device may be repaired or have its screen replaced under warranty.
