Edifier has unveiled its new desktop Bluetooth speaker, the Huazai Melo Bar, targeting users who care about both sound quality and aesthetics. The device is now available in China for around $48, coming in white and black color options. It stands out with a compact form factor and a focus on customization.

The audio system features two 52mm drivers and a symmetrical bass reflex design, delivering richer bass and clearer mid-to-high frequencies. A built-in Class D amplifier provides up to 10W of peak power, while digital signal processing helps maintain balanced sound across different usage modes.

A key highlight of the Melo Bar is its modular design system. Users can swap out panels with various designs or use a blank template for their own creations. This is complemented by RGB lighting with millions of colors and multiple effects, adjustable directly from the speaker, via an app, or through a PC.

The speaker supports Bluetooth 6.0 and wired USB connections, and includes a built-in noise-canceling microphone for calls. It offers different audio modes for music, gaming, and movies, with physical buttons on the body for control. Overall, the device aims for versatility, combining sound, functionality, and visual effects in one package.
