Watch the Tropico 7 gameplay trailer for a first look at managing an island nation. Set for 2026 release on PC and consoles with expanded features.

Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Gaming Minds Studios have released the first gameplay trailer for Tropico 7, giving players their initial look at managing an island nation in the latest installment. The short video offers a general overview of the game's mechanics and atmosphere while maintaining the series' signature style.

Players will once again step into the role of El Presidente and lead Tropico, developing the country through political decisions, economic management, and infrastructure projects. As before, the path to success isn't limited to honest methods—players must balance the needs of the population with their own ambitions.

The trailer showcases city construction, district development, and citizen loyalty management. The developers emphasize that every decision shapes the island's fate, with the leader serving not just as a manager but as an architect guiding the nation's development.

The creators promise the largest locations in the series' history, along with new maps, scenarios, and expanded management features including terrain modification. Tropico 7 is scheduled for release in 2026 for PC and next-generation consoles, and will also be available through Game Pass.
