Google Pixel 9 and 10 users report unstable eSIM performance with frequent signal drops. Google acknowledges issue, fix pending. Check details.
Google is facing a fresh wave of complaints from Pixel owners. This time, the issue revolves around unstable eSIM performance—many users are losing connectivity for no apparent reason.
Reports are surfacing across platforms including Reddit, X, and official support forums. The glitch most commonly affects the Google Pixel 9 and the Google Pixel 10 lineup. Notably, physical SIM cards continue to work reliably, pointing to a problem specifically with eSIM.
Users describe various scenarios. Some experience periodic signal drops that only return after a restart, sometimes every few days. Others find their eSIM completely non-functional, and a few cannot switch carriers even though their phone is officially unlocked.
There are also difficulties transferring eSIM between devices and carriers. So far, no single cause has been identified—the issue could be software-related or tied to firmware. Some users link the failures to new Android builds, including beta versions of Android 17.
Google has acknowledged the problem in its bug tracker, but a specific fix is not yet available. The situation is compounded by isolated cases where users could not get warranty repairs despite clear device malfunctions.
For now, Pixel owners have to wait for an official update and brace for unstable eSIM performance.
